Making a Clove and Apple cupcake

I sliced thin pieces of apple, dipped them into icing sugar and fried in butter until they has caramelised and gone brown but not burnt.

I made butter cream and added 1 teaspoon of ground cloves to the mixture. If you are unsure add 1/2 a teaspoon taste and add more if you like it.

I put the top back on, added more clove butter cream and added two slices of caramelised apple and 2 whole cloves.

I just love this awesome combination of flavours

Hi, I had a question about cupcakes. When I was in high school we made cupcakes substituting one of the ingredients with chickpeas. I was wondering if you would know which ingredient this would work for? I'm interested in making them again but I'm not sure how.

I saw a recipe recently that used mashed potatoes for flour so perhaps it was chickpes for flour.
