Remembrance day in the United Kingdom is celebrated on the Eleventh of November. The main symbol used is a poppy. This is used because the poppy grew on the battlefields of France and Europe in the world Wars. On this day we remember all those who have died to give us our freedom. I live in the North of England.I used to teach Art and creative textiles but now I am retired with my husband. I enjoy making all types of food. Making cupcakes and decorating them I find very creative. Cupcakes is my main interest but I also post recipes for Soup, Casseroles, Chutney, Pasta and Salads on the links on the top left. I like to eat healthly and share these recipes. Soon I will start a Healthy eating Diet Blog to combine all my recipes for a Healthy Life style diet including recipes ,nutrition and weight loss.
